A block away from 3/20, my husband decided to pull over and asked my son Namji if he wanted to learn how to drive. To which without any hesitation, Namji accepted. He reached out for his Daddy's hand for help so he could transfer in front and I was left sitting behind. Somehow feeling a little nervous and excited at the same time. Of course, it wasn't really Namji's first driving-all-by-himself experience for he's just a little boy. He couldn't even reach for the brakes and clutch. But Namji and my son's too excited about it. Even my daughter Nadine can't help but wailed while I've been so busy setting up my handphone so I can take photos of Namji's first driving lessons.
Namji's very attentive he's so good turning the steering wheel. It's a good thing that there are no cars passing by the opposite lane and even behind us. He have the whole 5 minutes journey with Namji's hands on the wheel. Namji can't help but get so excited and happy too that he sometimes have to look at me for approval. Sometimes I do most of the pananaway (please forgive me I forgot the exact English word :( ) that's why Namji has to look at me and see if it's OK. Namji's turning 4 and yet he already knew that it's not right for him to drive (since he thought it was really him driving) at a very young age. I'm so proud of my son. I'm sure that aside from visiting the big crab light design near Lost World before we go home, he's going to insist on driving next time that we're out on the road. I just hope he won't throw a tantrum in case he's Daddy wouldn't allow him too. :) And next time, I'm going to take videos instead of photos.
